Message of Love

With the persmission from Grandma Rosenbaum and Adele I want to show how love is a legacy for our Rosenbaum family:
Dear Mom (Afton),
I decided to give your Christmas gift this year in remememberance of Dad.
I made this for you out of flower's I presssed from his funeral. The message of Love it contains is in the remembrance of the love that you shared together, and all of our lives sprang from. Also in remembrance and gratitude of the love that you have showed to each of us. It is also in remembrance of the Love that our Savior Jesus Christ has for us all and that we hope to all receive--the pure love of Christ--Charity. And last, it is in remembrance of the last word I am aware that he spoke on this earth, that of Love to you.
I know it must be such a difficult time for you to carry on here without him, but we want you to know we love you very much and are so glad to have you still here with us.
Love,
Adele, Glen Var and family
A Lasting Love Story
It was a busy morning about 8:30, when an elderly gentileman in his 80's arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am. I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone would be able to see him.
I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needes supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.
While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor's appontment this morning, as he was in such a hurry. The gentileman told me no, that he needed to go to the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired at to her health.
He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer's Disease. As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late. He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.
I was surprised, and asked him, "And you still go every morning, even though she doesn't know who you are?"
He smiled and patted my hand and said, "She doesn't know me, but I still know who she is!"
I had to hold back the tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm and thought, "That is the kind of love I want in my life."
~True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.~

Afton Kaye Rosenbaum
Heather Rosenbaum gave birth to Afton Kaye Rosenbaum on January 10th weighing 8 pounds and 10 ounces and measuring 21 inches long.A week before Afton was born the doctors were concerned she was measuring small. After going in for the ultrasound, Spencer and Heather found out the baby was healthy and measured at 8 pounds. The doctor said it was a good thing Heather was having a girl because the baby had "substantial" hair. A week later Afton was born and sure enough she had a lot of hair. Spencer and Heather are loving their crazy haired new addition.
